Pepper is an ordering, loyalty and payments management platform for high street hospitality brands such as Itsu, Youngs and GBUK. The product had grown in scale and features over the years without a design system in place. The Pepper team wanted us to create a scalable designs system to support the next chapter of their growth.
We kicked off the project with a complete audit of the platform page by page, component by component. Next we conducted a series of interviews with stakeholders across product, sales, marketing and customer success in order to uncover insights and internal product challenges and perceptions. This led to a workshop where we explored the product and results from the interviews in order to build a collaborative design system specification and align the business on what we were looking to achieve.
The results were a total overhaul of their design system and product UI that allows the product team to scale the product with consistency and ease.
